There is a partial eclipse of the moon on New Years Eve. It commences @ 18:52 and ends at 19:52.

So you`ve got time to enjoy it (cloud permitting) before you go out celebrating.

I am attending a New Years Eve bash - however, I shall be taking my telescope along (yeh, sad I know) to have a look before the serious drinking starts !!
